The Audi SQ7 is an SUV that satisfies those seeking luxury and a powerful machine that excites the senses. The interior adopts a minimalist approach that highlights the quality of the materials used.

The carbon optic package (carbon interior trim, door inserts and mirrors) provides a sporty feel reminiscent of the victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The "S" stands for the word Sport, which means that under the hood lies a remarkable and special engine in this model. It's a 4.0-liter Twin Turbo V8 generating 500 horsepower.

The power feels like a race car in a family SUV . An 8-speed automatic transmission efficiently manages all the power, and the AWD system keeps the car under control.

Audi SQ7 2024, driving experience

When I drove the SQ7, based on the A6 sedan, my first impression was that it accelerates as if you were entering the Autobahn, where there are no speed limits.

At the same time, the 22-inch wheels with high-grip sports tires make the car very stable and give the feeling of being in control.

Unfortunately, most people who buy this beautiful SUV won't have the chance to see what the Q7 S is capable of, as they would be constantly breaking the country's traffic laws.

My experience was truly intense. The AWD system is essential for the high-grip driving experience on our Los Angeles freeway interchanges and bypasses.

Inside

The Audi SQ7's interior  seamlessly blends minimalist design, advanced technology, and superior comfort. The 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, while not my favorite, is standard on all new models from the Ingolstadt-based firm .

The Virtual Cockpit digital display, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration further enhance the driving experience. Audiophiles will be delighted with the audio options, including a 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen system with a staggering 1,920 watts of power.

High-performance cars cost a bit more. The Audi SQ7 starts at around $90,000, and the top-of-the-line Prestige model costs $98,000. The quality, workmanship, and upscale interior may justify the price.

The exhaust note of the eight-cylinder engine constantly reminds us of the performance of this special Q7 . It's definitely worth it.
